How should you begin?

Choose the required task, read the official eligibility conditions and check your account balance before increasing usage.

An audio workflow can need transcription, generated speech or a conversational voice agent. Before opening an account, identify which of those tasks the offer covers and how it measures usage. The five official sources below use euros, dollars, characters and UTF-8 bytes. Their benefits cannot be added into one interchangeable AI-token balance or treated as withdrawable cash.

This is a document-based guide using sources checked on October 7, 2026 UTC. Links are ordinary official URLs without a SmartDealIndex affiliate ID. Individual account eligibility and acceptance have not been established. Use the program directory for source status and benefit filters.

This comparison does not rank audio quality. A larger opening balance may produce less output when models, features, languages and billing units differ. Marketing estimates of audio hours are not guaranteed quotas across every feature.

Gladia: a one-time euro balance

Gladia pricing documents a €50 signup credit without a monthly reset. After exhausting it, users can top up or select paid service. The checked source did not establish expiry for that grant; describe the field as unknown rather than permanent.

Begin on the official page, follow its account route and inspect the wallet before processing a short recording. If optional automatic top-up is available, inspect its state and payment method before running a batch. Compare the opening and closing balance after the first task. An estimated transcription allowance does not automatically describe every other feature.

Hume and Smallest: opening credit is separate from paid renewal

Hume billing documentation assigns $20 to new accounts. Voice features can share a subscription scope, while managed external LLM usage is supplemental. Reset descriptions for paid subscriptions do not establish a recurring free grant.

Smallest.ai pricing lists $10 to begin on its flexible pay-as-you-go offering. Expiry and free renewal were not established in this review. Start from the official route, confirm the available models inside your account and run one small request. Record the actual consumption unit and UTC time.

A voice-agent pipeline may include recognition, response generation and speech synthesis. Credit from one provider does not automatically pay for steps served by another provider. Keep separate rows for each component and label a component free only when the source or your account balance covers that component.

Murf: API characters and a separate startup application

The Murf API FAQ documents 100,000 free characters with no time limit until exhausted. Characters are not audio minutes or language-model tokens. Inspect the character usage recorded for one short script before estimating a full production workload.

The same source describes a startup application for companies with fewer than 100 employees: 50 million characters for three months. This requires the correct applicant and review; it is not automatic for every ordinary account. Monthly startup renewal and a dollar equivalent were not established.

Prepare a genuine company website and usage description if applying to the startup route, then inspect the current form and conditions yourself. For a small narration test, start with the ordinary API scope. The global AI program guide explains how technical credits, grants and service trials differ.

Fish Audio: the exact model name matters

Fish Audio pricing and rate limits separates s2.1-pro-free from paid models. Its unit is UTF-8 input bytes. Accented Vietnamese text can use multiple bytes per displayed character, so one million bytes is not necessarily one million characters or a fixed number of audio minutes.

The Starter limit is five concurrent requests shared by an account's API keys. The free model is described for testing, prototyping, development and smaller businesses, with limits on latency and DPA guarantees. A finite monthly quota was not established in this review. A $0 model price does not prove unlimited service at every load level.

Select the exact model in the request configuration and inspect the model recorded in usage. Model access does not itself establish consent or rights for every uploaded recording or voice. Use recordings you have permission to process when building your first example.

A practical registration and testing workflow

  1. Choose one output: subtitles, a short narration or one conversational turn.
  2. Open the official source and record the benefit, unit, limit and unresolved fields.
  3. Register with your own accurate information, then check location eligibility and the dashboard balance.
  4. Run a short permitted sample and record balance changes.
  5. Estimate your planned workload using the current price for the exact model.
  6. Before upgrading, inspect overage, top-up, shared-plan usage and cancellation controls.

For an article on your own site, distinguish tested results from conditions only read in documentation. An editorial illustration is not provider-output evidence. The ElevenLabs registration guide and Descript guide help when the next decision concerns affiliate publishing or editing; cash commission is a different benefit from API credit.
